Deploying the FOSCYK4 dome closure across our regional distribution network simplified mid-span feeder cable entry. Equipped with 4 entry ports—comprising 1 primary 25 mm oval port for uncut main cables and 3 round 16 mm branch ports—it enables clean mid-span branching without interrupting active lines. The internal tray layout features up to 4 splice trays, holding up to 96 bunchy fibers (24 fibers per dual-layer tray) or 144 ribbon fibers. Constructed with a high-impact Polycarbonate outer shell rated for -40°C to +65°C operating temperatures, its heat-shrinkable sealing system keeps splices completely protected against water ingress in both aerial and manhole deployments.

At a reference price starting at just $19 USD, FirstFiber's FOSCYK4 provides utility-grade protection at a fraction of typical market costs. The compact 410 × 190 mm dome chassis weighs between 2.3 kg and 2.5 kg, making overhead handling lightweight and straightforward for field crews. Each closure includes a full accessory kit with hanging hoops for pole and wall mounting, an M10 wrench, fiber splice protective sleeves, nylon ties, grounding wire, abrasive cloth, and heat-protective aluminum-foil paper. Supporting up to 144 ribbon fibers, it offers fantastic scalability for municipal FTTx drop networks.

We standardized on the FOSCYK4 for underground pipeline and direct-buried splicing contracts due to its rigid PC body and thermoplastic rubber sealing grommet. The interior features a dedicated fiber holding tray for storing loose tube buffer fibers, maintaining proper bend radiuses across active buffer tubes. We added the optional pressure testing valve to perform air pressure integrity checks prior to underground burial. Configurable from 24 Cores up to 96 Cores, the FOSCYK4 is a thoroughly dependable, cost-effective splice closure for outdoor cable management.
