Supported Menu Languages for the FF-980REV OTDR

The FF-980REV OTDR is available in 8 standard language configurations, primarily featuring English paired with a secondary language like Spanish, Russian, or French. Custom local languages can be added upon request before manufacturing, but language settings cannot be modified after the device has been shipped.

Standard Language Options

When placing an order, customers must select one of the following pre-configured firmware language packs:

Option IDSupported Menu Languages
Option 1English (Standalone)
Option 2English & Spanish
Option 3English & Russian
Option 4English & Korean
Option 5English & Vietnamese
Option 6English & Traditional Chinese
Option 7English & French
Option 8English & Portuguese

Q: Can I add a custom local language that is not on the list?

A: Yes. If you can assist our technical team with translating the standard English menu text into your local language, we can program your custom language into the OTDR menu before shipment.

Q: Can I change, add, or download a new language after receiving the OTDR?

A: No. Each language requires a significantly different firmware library size. Because of this hardware memory allocation, it is impossible to add or change the menu language once the OTDR has been dispatched from the factory.
