Description
The fibers, 200/250μm, are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for cable with high fiber count, locates in the center of core as a metallic strength member. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core. An Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) is applied around the cable core. which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. Then the cable core is covered with a thin PE inner sheath. After the PSP is longitudinally applied over the inner sheath, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.

FAQ
Q: What are the main applications for the GYTA53 Armoured Fibre Optic Cable?
A: The GYTA53 cable is designed for outdoor use. It features good crush ability, making it highly suitable for duct and direct burial installations.
Q: How does the GYTA53 cable protect against water and moisture?
A: The cable ensures its water-proof function through several design features. The loose tubes are filled with a special water-resistant filling compound, the cable is fully filled, and it uses double Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) layers along with water-blocking tape to prevent moisture ingress.
Q: What provides the mechanical strength for the GYTA53 cable?
A: The cable uses a single steel wire located in the center of the core as a metallic strength member. For cables with a high fiber count, this steel wire is sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE).
Q: Can the GYTA53 cable withstand extreme outdoor environments?
A: Yes, it is built with high mechanical and temperature performance. It has a storage and operating temperature range of -40℃ to +70℃. Additionally, its Polyethylene (PE) sheath protects the cable from ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Q: What is the fiber capacity of the GYTA53 cable?
A: The GYTA53 cable is available in a wide range of configurations, supporting anywhere from 2 fibers up to 216 fibers depending on the specific model required.
