In our high-density GPON/EPON FTTH deployments, splitting uniformity across all subscriber legs is vital for maintaining tight optical power budgets. We deployed 1:32 rack-mounted PLC splitter modules configured with SC/APC connectors into our central office distribution racks. Over thousands of active links, the G.657.A single-mode fiber and planar lightwave circuit architecture demonstrated a low Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL ≤ 0.3 dB) and excellent channel-to-channel uniformity (≤ 1.5 dB for 1:32) across the entire 1260nm to 1650nm operating wavelength spectrum. The return loss maintained ≥ 50 dB with directivity exceeding 55 dB, effectively safeguarding our upstream OLT transceivers from damaging back reflections.

Managing signal distribution across our Metro and CATV networks requires optical splitters with high return loss and excellent repeatability. These rack-mounted PLC splitters fit standard 19-inch frames seamlessly, allowing clean patch cord management for 1:16 and 1:32 split ratios. In our environmental stress chambers, the chassis performed flawlessly across the full -40℃ to +85℃ operating temperature range without experiencing thermal attenuation drift. Standard insertion loss stayed well within specifications (≤ 14.0 dB for 1:16 with connectors) while maintaining minimal PDL and high physical reliability. The robust housing makes it ideal for high-reliability data center and broadband transmit networks.

When building out scalable FTTX distribution nodes, optical power symmetry across all split ports prevents downstream ONT receiver overload or optical starvation. We opted for 1:8 and 1:16 rack-mounted PLC splitters configured with SC/APC connectors. The channel-to-channel uniformity (≤ 0.8 dB for 1:8) and low wavelength-dependent loss ensure balanced power budgets whether operating at 1310nm, 1490nm, or 1550nm. The ability to choose between SC/APC, SC/UPC, FC/APC, and FC/UPC connectors directly from the factory provides complete modular flexibility for diverse rack configurations. This is a top-tier, highly reliable passive optical component for any enterprise-grade network.
