Description
It is an indoor optical terminal box that used in single-mode optical fibre networks for FTTH. It implements the connection between the feeder network of the service operators and the (vertical) distribution network within the building. The box allows sharing with other carriers the distribution and dispersion networks installed by the first carrier.
The box divides into two areas: The left area is for cable fibers splicing, storing and splitting. The right area is for connection of patch cords. Each area has an independent door, which can be locked by a triangular key.
The box is a cuboid box with modular design. It can be stacked together to use. Usually the upmost one is for building network. The followed ones are for operator network.

FAQ
Q1: What is the main function and primary application of the FF-FTB48B?
A: The FF-FTB48B is an indoor single-mode optical terminal box designed for FTTH multi-dwelling unit (MDU) applications. It bridges service operator feeder networks with vertical in-building distribution networks while supporting multi-carrier network sharing.
Q2: How is the internal layout of the terminal box structured?
A: The cabinet features a dual-compartment design: the left compartment is dedicated to cable splicing, storage, and splitting, while the right compartment handles patch cord connections. Each side is secured with an independent door locked by a triangular key.
Q3: What are the physical dimensions and port capacities?
A: The unit measures 450 x 182 x 150 mm (W x H x D) and supports a maximum capacity of 48 SC simplex adapter ports. It includes 3 cable entrance/exit ports accommodating optical cables up to 18 mm in diameter, along with 8F splice trays.
Q4: What material and environmental protection standards does it meet?
A: Constructed from PC+ABS material, the enclosure is wet-proof, dust-proof, water-proof, and anti-aging with an IP30 protection level for indoor wall mounting. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -25°C to +55°C.
Q5: Which adapter, pigtail, and splitter configurations can be selected?
A: Configurable order choices include 48 pieces of SC/APC or SC/UPC adapters paired with either 48 SC pigtails, a 1×32 PLC splitter, two 1×16 PLC splitters, or an unpopulated chassis.
